Payment will be made securely online with your debit or credit card via our online store here: https://drivinginstructor.ie/prices/

There will no surcharge for payments by credit or debit card. Payments are powered by Stripe.

There are 3 ways to pay for for your driving instructor course:

  1. Pay in full – Full payment made and scheduled in for your training
  2. Pay as you go – Deposit of €500 and €120 for 2 hour 1 to 1 training lessons
  3. Instalments – 3 Instalments of €750

Training Location and Duration

All training sessions will take place in North and South Dublin. We do offer training in other counties across Ireland. Please contact us if you are looking for locations outside Dublin, Meath, Kildare, Wexford, Wicklow.

Training sessions will be delivered in 2 hour and sometimes 3-hour blocks.

Terms and Conditions

Prepare Your Car

Customers who are using their own vehicle for training should ensure that there it is clean and free from any rubbish or personal items and that where possible windows on passenger and driver side are left partially open.

Cancellation Policy

Sessions cancelled by the customer, at short notice or missed for whatever reason (within 7 days of start time) will require payment in full.

If your driving instructor cancels a session with less than 7 days’ notice, a new appointment will be arranged free of charge in lieu.

Your instructor reserves the right to cancel a session at short notice where he feels that safety may be compromised. e.g. due to adverse weather conditions.

In this case a new appointment will be arranged as a replacement lesson at the earliest possible time to suit both customer and instructor.

It is your responsibility to check times and dates of sessions. Reminder texts/emails will be sent to you by your instructor within 48 hours of start time.

Payments

Payment is required for all individual sessions and courses at time of booking.

Licence Requirements

All customers must have a valid Irish Learner Permit or Full Irish Driving Licence on their person when undertaking lessons or courses. Full driving licences from other countries will be allowed on the basis that these licences comply with Irish legislative rules.

Penalty Points

Penalty points incurred by customers during lessons will be the full responsibility of the customer i.e. the person driving the car notwithstanding the fact that the person may be under instruction.

Customer Vehicles

Customer vehicles must satisfy all legal requirements. They must be roadworthy, taxed and insured as appropriate with valid discs displayed as per current legislation.

A valid NCT disc (if applicable) must also be displayed as per current legislation. L Plates/N Plates must be displayed as appropriate. Customers must be insured to drive the vehicle used for their lessons.

Your instructor will carry out vehicle checks prior to commencement of lessons to ensure legal compliance. Lack of legal compliance will result is cancellation of the lesson with full costs to customer.

Drugs and Alcohol

Your instructor reserves the right to cancel sessions if he has reason to believe that the customer is unfit to drive. If this situation occurs, the customer will be liable for full payment of session(s).

It is a requirement that customers who are taking prescription or illegal drugs must declare this at the commencement of the session(s).

Complaints Procedures

Please bring any complaints that you may have to your instructor’s notice and he will endeavour to address the situation. If you are not satisfied, you may then make reference to the regulator of Approved Driving Instructors in Ireland (The RSA) who will consider the matter and advise accordingly.

Refund Policy

Refunds for prepaid services that have not been delivered may be made in exceptional circumstances and will be at the discretion of Head of Training Kevin Horgan. If services have already been rendered, a partial refund may be made.

In this case, a deduction will be made for the hours of training already delivered. The amount of the deduction will be determined by the prevailing hourly charge rate at time of refund.

Requests for refunds will need to be made in writing (See “Contacting Us” section below). Refunds will not be made for ADI Study Packs or for any other books, written works or aids purchased.

Driving Instructor Training

All Terms and Conditions listed above are applicable.

All driving instructor training sessions will take place in North and South Dublin if instructed otherwise.

All Driving Instructor Training customers must have a valid Full Irish Driving Licence on their person when undertaking sessions.
